A police aircraft was dispatched to an urgent situation in Bicester on the evening of March 20.
Residents reported hearing the helicopter overhead for approximately 45 minutes on Friday night.
At the same time, officers were spotted patrolling the Banbury Road neighbourhood, according to a person who witnessed the activity.
The operation centred on locating a missing individual, though no information about that person has been disclosed.
Thames Valley Police stated only that the matter was concluded.
An official explained that the welfare concern was dealt with safely, adding that no additional information would be provided.
A representative from the National Police Air Service confirmed that on Friday, March 20, an NPAS crew from Husbands Bosworth was sent to the Bicester area.
The crew was tasked with assisting officers on the ground conducting a search for an individual. The aircraft remained airborne for 45 minutes.
