Cases heard at Oxford Magistrates’ Court included:

Jade Reeves, aged 35 and of no fixed address, admitted responsibility for two incidents of accessing enclosed areas in Oxford on 9 October and 4 December the previous year, both breaching closure orders. She also accepted responsibility for four occasions of staying at premises in Oxford in November and December the previous year in violation of closure orders. Additionally, she admitted stealing goods worth £102.75 from a retail outlet in Oxford on 16 January this year. The court mandated six months of mental health treatment, imposed a two-month restriction preventing her from visiting any location where a particular male resides, and required her to attend appointments arranged by a responsible officer for up to 20 days.

Toby Hitchcox, aged 48 and residing in Warpsgrove Lane, Chalgrove, Oxford, was convicted of operating a vehicle on Cowley Road, Oxford on 31 December 2024 without third party insurance cover. He was directed to pay £135 in costs, a £192 victim surcharge, and a £480 fine, and received eight penalty points on his driving record.

Jason Bourton, aged 46 and living at Burton Place, Oxford, entered guilty pleas for two assault by beating offences committed in Oxford on 1 February this year. He also admitted one charge of criminal damage and one charge of shoplifting goods valued at £30 in Oxford on the same date. Further, he admitted a separate shoplifting offence in Oxford on 30 January this year involving goods worth £153. The court imposed a four-month custodial sentence suspended for 12 months, ordered six months of alcohol rehabilitation treatment, and issued a prohibition preventing him from contacting two victims or visiting the Co-op store in Rose Hill for 12 months. He must also attend appointments arranged by a responsible officer for up to 26 days.

Reece Griffiths-Walford, aged 25 and of Edmund Road, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting language or behaviour intended to cause harassment, alarm, or distress toward a police officer in Abingdon on 24 August the previous year. He received a £120 fine.

Jermaine Jones, aged 43 and of Lake Street, Oxford, admitted harassment constituting a breach of a restraining order imposed following conviction, occurring in Oxford on 28 January the previous year. He also admitted accessing a premises in Oxford on 4 March this year in violation of a closure order. A fine of £80 was imposed.

Hamemul Haque, aged 23 and of Clive Road, Oxford, admitted racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm, or distress caused by words or writing in Abingdon on 2 March the previous year. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £100 compensation, and received an 18-day custodial sentence suspended for 12 months.

Andrew Brown, aged 60 and of Henry Taunt Close, Headington, Oxford, admitted a single charge of shoplifting in Oxford on 26 February this year involving items valued at £46.95. He was fined £80.
