Oxford Magistrates’ Court heard the following cases:

Majid Khan, aged 42 and living in Banbury, admitted to two counts of drug driving. The offences occurred in a Dacia Sandero on Southam Road in Banbury on November 16 last year. Khan was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a £143 victim surcharge and a £357 fine. He received a 36-month driving ban.

Joshua Mills, aged 34 and living in Coffee Hall, Milton Keynes, admitted to two counts of drug driving. The offences occurred in a BMW X5 on Wantage Road in Didcot on November 9 last year. Mills was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a £600 victim surcharge and a £1,500 fine. He received a 14-month driving ban.

Alexander McMillan, aged 22 and living in Oxford, admitted to drink driving. The offence occurred in a VW Polo on West Way in Botley on January 25 this year. The reading was 100 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. McMillan was ordered to pay £85 in costs, a £92 victim surcharge and a £230 fine. He received a 24-month driving ban, which could be reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course by July 17 next year.

Michael Taylor, aged 26 and living in Dudley, admitted to drug driving. The offence occurred on the M40 near Banbury on November 3 last year. Taylor was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 victim surcharge. He must also attend appointments as directed by the responsible officer for up to six days and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He received a 30-month driving ban.

Shaun Robinson, aged 25 and living in Brackley, admitted to drug driving. The offence occurred in a Ford Transit Flatbed on the A34 at Hinksey Hill on November 20 last year. Robinson was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £415 fine. He received a 12-month driving ban.

Harmi Palda, aged 56 and living in Oxford, admitted to failing to provide a breath specimen when required to do so by police in Abingdon on January 24 this year. Palda was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 victim surcharge. Palda must also complete 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and received an 18-month driving ban, which could be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course by February 28 next year.

James Ewins, aged 42 and living in Wheatley near Oxford, admitted to criminal damage in Oxford on September 22 last year. Ewins was ordered to pay £85 in costs and £381.93 in compensation.

Neil Wells, aged 28 and of no fixed address, admitted to three counts of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements in Aylesbury in December last year, January this year and March this year. Wells received a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Piotr Zatylny, aged 43 and living in Didcot, admitted to theft from a person in Didcot on September 27 last year. He also admitted to harassment without violence against a woman in Didcot between September 29 and October 10 last year. He further admitted to failing to surrender to police bail in Oxford on December 16 last year. Zatylny was ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 victim surcharge. He must also undergo nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and comply with directions from the responsible officer to attend appointments for up to 15 days. He must complete 180 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and was made subject to a 12-month restraining order.
