The annual lambing period has arrived in Oxfordshire alongside the new season, and to mark the occasion archive photographs capturing people delighting in the experience have been uncovered.

The majority of ewes across Oxfordshire’s countryside holdings are expected to deliver their offspring over the coming weeks through to April, with approximately 16 million lambs entering the world throughout the United Kingdom during this timeframe.
