A group of Oxfordshire agricultural workers will appear on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent this evening as part of a vocal ensemble that first gained prominence through Jeremy Clarkson’s involvement.

The Hawkstone Farmers Choir will feature in the show’s nineteenth season this Saturday (March 21) at 6.45pm on ITV 1.

The ensemble brings together food producers and farming specialists from throughout Britain, performing before celebrity judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, KSI and guest panellist Stacey Solomon.

Simon Cowell was absent from the panel having sustained an injury.

Two members of the ensemble originate from the west Oxfordshire area.

Abbie Condon, aged 42, works as a red tractor operations manager and has spent ten years guaranteeing British produce is safe, traceable and produced responsibly.

Ms Condon resides close to Mr Clarkson’s establishment The Farmer’s Dog, having previously managed audits for Clarkson’s own agricultural operation. She became involved with the choir as a constructive activity during a difficult period.

James Florey from Northmoor represents the fourth generation of his family to work the land at Churchills Farm, overseeing 500 acres adjacent to the River Thames.

His farming activities centre on cattle and sheep production alongside environmental conservation, and he actively promotes getting young people involved with agriculture through educational visits to his farm.

The collective emerged in May 2025 following a cryptic online advertisement calling for strong singers who work in agriculture to collaborate with Jeremy Clarkson’s Hawkstone brand.

Although initial activities involved recording promotional pieces at The Farmer’s Dog in Burford, the project rapidly developed into something more significant: promoting mental wellbeing and preventing suicide within the farming community.

Choir representative Katryna Shell indicated that she hoped viewers would watch the ensemble and that even if it inspired just one person to open up about struggling, that would make the group’s efforts worthwhile.

The choir offers essential peer support for producers dealing with the isolation of countryside work, volatile market conditions and the harsh realities facing contemporary agriculture.

Should the group progress further, they would move to the live semi-final stage in pursuit of the £250,000 prize and the prestigious opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
