Viewers grew anxious when Simon Cowell was absent from today’s Britain’s Got Talent broadcast, with several taking to social media to voice their worries about his health.
The veteran judge on the ITV competition programme failed to appear on Saturday afternoon, March 21, alarming viewers.
Matthew Hulbert posted on Twitter questioning whether Cowell was alright.
Others were confused by the statement made at the beginning of the programme, with another user inquiring about his whereabouts.
Cowell resides in Oxfordshire alongside his partner Lauren Silverman and his 11-year-old son Eric.
The pair initially crossed paths in 2004 in Barbados, later becoming engaged on Christmas Eve 2021.
The episode was filmed last year, shortly after Cowell sustained an injury by tumbling down stairs and striking his head.
According to the Manchester Evening News, after Birmingham audition dates were pushed back by a day, Stacey Solomon stepped in as a replacement.
Solomon served as a panellist throughout most of the broadcast alongside KSI, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, who assumed the role of chief judge.
Nevertheless, Cowell reappeared before the conclusion of this fourth instalment of the 19th series, much to the relief of certain viewers.
Holden activated her golden buzzer during the programme for The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, a group that originally assembled to perform at Jeremy Clarkson’s establishment The Farmer’s Dog.
Reactions were mixed among viewers regarding Solomon’s involvement, with some questioning the selection while others welcomed her comeback.
One viewer stated they favoured her over the allegedly disappointing Cowell.
Another individual commented that receiving a rejection from Stacey Solomon would be ironic given her own background.
