Incident cleared at Banbury Castle Street and Bolton Street junction

A road traffic collision has occurred in Banbury at the intersection of Castle Street and Bolton Street, resulting in congestion throughout the vicinity. Officers from Thames Valley Police Road Policing are currently on scene. Motorists are advised to factor in additional journey time and explore alternative routes.

The AA reported partial obstruction and sluggish conditions on Castle Street in both directions at its junction with Bolton Road.

Separately, temporary traffic lights installed for construction work on the A4260 Concord Avenue in both directions near Bridge Street were also compounding the difficulties for road users in the area.

UPDATE – 4:30PM The road traffic incident in Banbury at the Castle Street and Bolton Street junction that occurred earlier has now been resolved. Traffic conditions have returned to normal.
