The 33-year-old reality television personality Jordan Wright, known for appearing in the ITV reality series The Only Way is Essex, has died under unclear circumstances in Thailand.

Authorities were alerted after a Myanmar national employed in vegetable harvesting discovered a body in stagnant water close to Bang Tao Beach on the afternoon of March 14.

The discovery occurred at approximately 12.30pm, according to reports from the Crime Asia Facebook page.

Emergency services attended the scene where Wright was located lying face-down in the drainage canal.

The deceased was barefoot and dressed in a grey shirt with black trousers.

Initial examination indicated the body had been submerged for a significant period, resulting in visible bloating.

Personal belongings recovered at the location included an iPhone found on the nearby bank.

A hotel key card in his possession connected him to Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao, where records confirmed he had registered as a solo guest.

The booking indicated a departure date of March 13, though hotel personnel told investigators he had not returned to the property.

Investigators reviewed CCTV recordings from the hotel which depicted Wright behaving erratically in the vicinity before departing the area.

His subsequent movements were traced toward the site where his remains were ultimately discovered.

Officers conducting the investigation reported finding no external evidence of physical violence or assault.

A thorough examination of his hotel accommodation similarly yielded no indications of forced entry or any disturbance within the room.

The case remains under active investigation as authorities await the completion of post-mortem examinations at Vachira Phuket Hospital.

The official cause of death has yet to be established, and toxicology analysis is pending to determine whether narcotics or other substances played any role in the incident.

Social media tributes have been posted by supporters on Wright’s most recent Instagram entry.
